Citizenship and Building a Shared Singaporean Identity

We are going to have a multi-racial nation in Singapore. We will set the example. This is not a Malay nation; this is not a Chinese nation; this is not an Indian nation. Everybody will have his place: equal; language, culture, religion.
Lee Kuan Yew, 9 August 1965

What We Are Looking For

We are collecting objects and stories about experiences that fostered multiculturalism, brought Singaporeans of different races together, and reaffirmed our shared identity.

S Rajaratnam, 11 November 1959
