The Founders’ Memorial Committee was first formed in June 2015 to gather views from the public and to conceptualise a memorial to honour and remember the values and ideals of Singapore’s founding generation of leaders.
The Committee is now in its fourth term (1 Jan 2024 – 31 Dec 2026). The role of the Committee for its current term is to:

Engage and invite Singaporeans to participate in the creative and design process of the Memorial’s story, spaces and programmes;

Provide guidance on the development of a values-based narrative, programming approach and content for the Memorial, with a view to shaping a compelling and inspiring experience for visitors; and

Provide advice on the longer-term partnership and engagement opportunities for the Memorial, including building a volunteer base, museum development and planning.
The Committee will be co-chaired by Mr Lee Tzu Yang and Prof Tan Tai Yong. The full composition of the Committee is:
